There's a mistake. How did they miss the character of Vito Corleone? In the space of two years, two great actors brought the Don alive on screen, elevating him to cult status... yet no mention in the top 20?

I found that extremely strange too. But maybe, they couldn't really decide if he was a hero or a villian.
If there was a list of characters with shades of gray, the I guess Don Corleone would be right on top.
i agree...the Don has to be there! movies are not my cup of tea but Mr.Corleone's charachter deserves to be on any list worth its penny!
Atticus Finch isn't a Doctor (neither medical nor phd)- he's a lawyer...
